On this exciting 2 day adventure tour, you have the opportunity to combine some of the most popular day tours we have to offer (Cotopaxi Bike & Hike Tour and Quilotoa Crater Lake Tour) with a night in a beautiful lodge in the Volcano Avenue.
Where to meet
- 07:15 AM in New Town (La Plaza Foch)
- 07:30 AM in Old Town (Plaza San Blas)
Day 1: Cotopaxi Bike & Hike (If you start on Wednesday or Saturday)

Pick up at New Town (La Plaza Foch) a las 7:15, 7:30 in Old Town (Plaza San Blas). |
Travel to Cotopaxi National Park. |
Arrive at parking place, explanation about volcano /animals/ plants/etc. |
Once inside the National Park we hike up to the refugee that is located at 4864 m, where we are going to have a little rest to refill our energy and enjoy the view of the park. (4600 m./ 15.748ft.) – approx. 1 hour. |
After a short rest, hike down to the parking lot. |
Bike downhill to Limpiopungo Lagoon – approx. 1 hour. |
We enjoy our well deserved lunch and then you will be dropped off at your accommodation for the night. |
Note: The weather in Cotopaxi is unpredictable, and at such altitude you will want to bring warm layers!
Night in Casa Sakiwa or similar lodging (Depending on availability)
Day 2: Quilotoa Crater Lake (If you start on Tuesday or Thursday)

Pick up from your lodge around 8:00-8:30 am, after you enjoy breakfast and join the group for the tour. |
Depending on the day, we will visit either the Saquisilí (Thursdays), or Pujilí (Sundays) indigenous markets so you can appreciate the contrast between these and those of the Imbabura province (Otavalo). |
After enjoying the sights of the crater from the viewpoint we will make our way down to the lake. Depending on your personal preference you can either hike back up or enjoy a mule/horse ride back up. |
Before lunch we will visit the Tigua Community that is well known for their handicrafts. |
Return to Quito Approx 6:00 pm. |
Note: The weather in Quilotoa is unpredictable, so we recommend being prepared with warm and waterproof clothing (layers always help).
